Yep. I'm still swooning, because opening weekend was a huge success!
I am absolutely overwhelmed by the support and love that my work was shown this weekend for the opening reception of my first professional exhibition. Not only did Mother Nature bring some crazy beautiful weather for us, but Fatemeh and I were thrilled by the turnout and results of night one. The whole thing didn't really hit me until there were paintings hanging on the walls, but it was so special to see my badasses framed and ready for viewing.. after all, up until now they have never left my studio except to be digitized!
If you missed the opening reception, don't sweat it. The "Badass Women" exhibition will be available for viewing from November 5th - December 21st at BluSeed Studios in Saranac Lake, NY. As a reminder, this exhibit contains photography by Fatemeh Askarinejad and watercolors by Bailey Campbell, depicting a powerful narrative and educational experience regarding the power, strength, and beauty of women, some well known, and others who lead within their ordinary lives.
